From Trsat Castle on top of Rijeka you will have the greatest view of the Kvarner Bay. Climb the 538 stairs or take the public bus no. 2 to “Trsat”. At the last bus station on the top of the hill you will find a small medieval village with a pilgrimage church. Stop in a cafe or small restaurant before you continue on a small street to Trsat Castle. Trsat Castle was built in the 13th century and is overlooking the city of Rijeka, the Rijecina river and the Kvarner bay.
Enjoy a cocktail at the “Vintage” cafe bar in the evening hours and prepare yourself for the sunset.

The Petar Kružić staircase is the stone staircase in Rijeka (Croatia) that leads from Rijeka to Trsat and the castle on top of Rijeka. There are 538 steps and the entrance archway at the foot of the stairs in the form of a triumphal arch, which was built in the Baroque style dated by the first half of 18th century.
